Host Pool Information

Requirements for Home Host Pool

  • Pool to be accessible by side gate or by walking around to pool location.

  • The pool must be in-ground.

  • Allow home pool to be used by Certified ISR Instructor for a minimum of 3 hours.

  • Allow Instructor to use pool Monday-Friday for the same 3-hour block of time each day.

  • Allow instructor use of the pool to be used for the entire 6-week session.

  • Pool temperature to be maintained between 78-88 degrees Fahrenheit (heated pool).

  • Chemical levels maintained.

  • Bathroom access is not required.

  • If inclement weather happens and lesson cancellation occurs, Instructor may ask the host pool to conduct possible make-up lessons as needed on occasional weekends.

Requirements for Certified ISR Instructor

  • Maintain liability Insurance (will provide a copy to the homeowner).

  • Maintain ISR certification (will provide a copy to the homeowner).

  • Maintain CPR/AED First Aid certification (will provide a copy to the homeowner).

  • Will have each family parent/participant complete a liability waiver.

  • Will conduct ISR lessons only to those students that have completed the National ISR registration requirement.

  • Advertise session for host pool location.

Benefits for Host Pool

  • Children of host pool homeowners get reduced or free ISR lesson fees (value is $750+ per child). ISR registration will be required to be paid for and completed by the host pool family for each child ($105.00 per child, non-refundable, without exceptions).

  • No need to travel to a location for lessons.
